A Personal View of Hubpages.
With social marketing being such an awesomely powerful force these days, it seems a new social site comes on the scene every day. It's impossible to keep up with all of them. I was introduced to Hubpages a few weeks ago, but due to other commitments wasn't able to check it out until recently. But I have to say it is one of the best of the bunch. Hubpages works pretty much the same as other social networking sites, like [u]myspace, [u]squidoo,etc. You get to create your own mini 'hubs' on any topic you like. And you get to network with other like minded 'hubbers'. Your hubs can include images, videos and links as well as text so some of them are really beautiful. There's also the opportunity to earn money by including ads from Amazon, Ebay and Adsense on your hubs. It seems like Google loves this place. Hubs can get ranked really high in a surprisingly short space of time. My first hub was ranked on [u]Google's first page for my keywords less than 3 hrs after I created it! Creating your 'hub' is really easy. I find it much easier than creating a lens on squidoo. And much easier to find other similar hubbers. I'm not sure how long it's been around but they seem to pretty much have it cracked and for those of you who like to benefit from social networking I can definitely recommend this one.
