Does Anyone Actually Read the Intel Before Screening?

Please forgive the soapbox moment here people. But I look at some of the intel comments and ratings here and it seems pretty obvious that the vast majority of people are not really rating the intel at all.

You can't possibly give a quality rating to something that you haven't read! And if you're not reading the intel that is submitted then you need to quit pretending that you have read it, just so you can earn some qassia dollars.

I have read some real good articles on here that have been marked pretty poorly. I have had comments on my own intel that don't reflect what was written. And yet, these people are getting paid for these screenings.

Sometimes it is not the intel that is being screened but the individual author. However, none of us here truly know the others so how can you rate someone that you don't know.

Poor ratings will mean the quality of the Intel will count for nothing. Nobody will be able to trust the rating so they will not trust the intel, nor will they trust Qassia. Everybody loses.

Please be sure that you read fully before screening any Intel.

Yes I do read Intel I screen. Actually writing Intels is a much faster way to earn credits and the all important back links.

There probably are individuals who do not read intels but I'm not one of them. I actually enjoy reading them and appreciate well written ones as well as those that have a significant point to make. From my experience of Qondio to date I haven't found too many incompatible scores with my own feelings about the intels I have read.

Hi Susan

Although I personally read everything I rate or approve I think you make a very good point here. I would hope that everybody takes their role here seriously but no doubt there will always be a minority who are just out for what they can get with limited input.

I agree with what you say. I have read some that are rated very well and I had a hard time reading them.

I must admit that when I go back and read some of my own Intels I feel the ratings are wrong.

I agree! You're allowed your soapbox moment. Although this was written almost three years ago it's still true today.

Is this one of the reasons why so many members aren't visiting and contributing like they used to?
